Stem cell therapy primarily treats orthopedic, spine, and musculoskeletal issues among athletes and non-athletes. You can’t always avoid injuries; sometimes, they are just bound to happen. Stem cell therapy can resolve all sorts of issues in your knee, spine, elbow, wrist, hip, foot, shoulder, and ankle, whether acute injuries or degenerative chronic conditions.
Common musculoskeletal issues that stem cell therapy can treat are osteoarthritis, meniscus tears, tendonitis, bursitis, arthritis, elbow injuries, rotator cuff tears, labrum tears, post-surgical pain, ankylosing spondylitis, muscle sprains, degenerative disc diseases, spinal stenosis, and many other pain disorders.
Stem cell therapy aims to promote healing and new tissue development, improve mobility, and enhance the quality of life.
For centuries, people have been relying on painful and risky surgical treatments for their musculoskeletal issues. These procedures have turned out to be a nightmare for some patients, leading to severe post-surgery pain and complications. There is no wonder why many people hesitate to go under the knife.
Stem cell therapy provides the best alternative to surgeries. It has a shorter recovery downtime, with patients feeling mild pain for 1 to 2 weeks after the treatment. Moreover, it’s a natural treatment with an impressive 70-90% success rate. Stem cell therapy is also an outpatient procedure, meaning you can go home right after the treatment.
Stem cell therapy is a simple procedure that only takes 2 hours to complete. At CELLAXYS Stem Cell Therapy Las Vegas Clinic, we will ensure you go into the treatment fully confident and satisfied.
The surgeon first decides whether they should extract stem cells from the patient’s bone marrow or adipose tissues (fat). If they opt for Bone Marrow Concentrate (BMAC), they insert a needle into the bone marrow to take the sample from the iliac crest. In the case of Minimally Manipulated Adipose Tissue Transplant (MMAT), they will perform a minor liposuction procedure to take a sample of your fat tissue and harvest stem cells from it.
Next, we concentrate the cells according to FDA-allowed minimal manipulation guidelines. It’s worth noting that our surgeons don’t multiply stem cells. Instead, all stem cells divide naturally on their own. While bone marrow cells multiply by 5 times maximum, adipose tissue cells multiply up to 8 times.
The stem cells are sent to a centrifuge, where they are concentrated through a double spin method. The cells are then activated with a small PRP injection dosage.
Finally, the surgeon takes the concentrated stem cells in an injection and transplants them to the injury site. The patient starts seeing a difference in pain and inflammation within a few weeks.
Stem cells are regenerative building blocks that continuously repair our body parts. Whenever an injury or natural degeneration occurs, stem cells produce new specialized cells that quickly adapt to the injury.
One unique thing about stem cells is that they can transform and adapt to any other type of cells – not only in appearance but also in terms of functions and properties. In case of an injury, these cells imitate the damaged ones until they reach maturity to function similarly to the original cell. Stem cells perform the regenerative process in our body without us even knowing!
