PRP Regeneration

The PRP Regeneration procedure at Vivaxys is a minimally invasive procedure that targets multiple layers of the skin for complete skin regeneration. During this procedure, PRP is extracted from the patient’s blood and reinjected in the deep area of the skin known as the reticular dermis. This promotes skin regeneration from inside out, which is much more fundamental and long-lasting than the tropical treatments.

What’s PRP?

Platelet-rich plasma, or PRP, is a concentrated form of plasma that’s derived from the blood and supports cell growth. Platelets play a critical role in tissue repair and regeneration. They regulate fundamental mechanisms in the healing process including cellular migration, proliferation, and new blood vessel development. Therefore, PRP possesses growth-promoting properties that accelerate the repair of aged and damaged soft tissue and collagen production.

One of the most important aspects of PRP is that it is completely natural blood plasma that has been enriched with platelets. By deriving the main elements of these therapies from a patient’s blood, PRP therapies minimize the risks present in other, synthetic bio-fillers.

Advantages

The benefits of the PRP regeneration procedure is that multiple layers of skin are treated, which can start the skin repair process immediately, but also, the treatment works over weeks and months to continue the regeneration of the skin. The effects of this procedure last between 1-2 years, depending on the patient’s skin condition.

How Does It Work?

Step 1
Your blood is drawn
One of our nurses administers a line to draw 50 cc of your blood.

Step 2
PRP is extracted from your blood
Your blood will be processed in our laboratory to separate the different components of it and extract the Platelet Rich Plasma.

Step 3
A nerve oblock is applied throughout the treatment area
To help with any pain and discomfort and make the procedure easier for you, after applying a numbing cream, a nerve block is injected into your face and all other treatment areas.

Step 4
PRP is injected to the deep areas of the skin
Using a tiny needle and through hundreds of small injections, PRP is applied into the reticular dermis layer of your skin.

Step 5
The top layer of your skin is then thoroughly micro-needled while applying PRP
Your face and all other treatment areas will be micro-needled. This removes the top layer of your skin. PRP is applied to your skin during this process.

Step 6
A layer of PRP is then generously applied all over your skin
After the microneedling process, your skin has the most amount of absorption. Therefore this is the best time to apply more PRP to the top layer of skin.

Step 6
Apply healing cream at home
During your visit, there will be a healing cream made out of your own PRP. After the procedure, you are recommended to not wash your face for 6 – 8 hours. After the 8 hours is over, you are instructed to apply the healing cream periodically to aid with quick recovery.
